Detailed Tour Itinerary

Tour of the day: Half Day Ocean Park Tour, Half day Hong Kong Island Orientation Drive to Victoria Peak, Aberdeen, Repulse Bay. Only breakfast included.

Half Day Ocean Park Tour: Pick up from hotel by your guide. The tour will last a time of maximum 5 hours. Visit Ocean Park with its unique combination of fascinating marine life, watch breathtaking scenery from spectacular thrill rides like the Dragon Roller Coaster, the Spider etc, visit the Chinese giant pandas.

Half day Hong Kong Island Orientation Drive to Victoria Peak, Aberdeen, Repulse Bay. Pickup from hotel by guide. Tour duration is maximum of 5 hours. Half day tour in Victoria Peak, Hong Kong’s number one tourist destination, which features the 112 year old Peak Tram and Hong Kong’s most unusual building, The Peak Tower. Next stop is Aberdeen Harbor which is home to hundreds of people living on fishing junks. You can also take a sampan ride (US$10-12). Repulse Bay, one of Hong Kong’s most exclusive residential areas, is the last stop.

Tour of the Day: Hong Kong Disneyland Tour. Only Breakfast included.

Hong Kong Disneyland Tour: Pickup from hotel by guide. Tour duration to Disneyland is of around 10 hours. (If group members are less than 4, our guide will not accompany you visiting Disneyland.) Witness the theme lands – Main Street USA, Fantasyland, Adventure and Tomorrowland.

Today’s Activities: Yuyuan Garden, The Bund, Shanghai Old Street, Oriental Pearl TV Tower.

Yuyuan Garden (1 hour): Yuyuan Garden is a private garden built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty, with typical Chinese classic architecture and style. The complex covers an area of 2 hectares, with rockeries, pavilions, ponds and corridors.

Oriental Pearl TV Tower (1.3 hours): it is one of the tallest TV towers in the world known for its distinctive spheres. The Shanghai History Museum is Located on the first floor of the Oriental TV Tower. There you can see the four major exhibition units reflecting Shanghai’s history, modern and recent revolutionary history respectively.

The Bund (40 minutes): This 1.5-kilometer-long embankment runs along the western bank of Huangpu River. On its west side it is the “architecture gallery” with 52 well-preserved old European style buildings. The Bund has now futuristic developments, chic restaurants, top end shops and bars.

Tips: Mornings in the Bund are foggy. The best time to visit the Bund is in the afternoon or evening. Lights will be turned off at 22:00.

Shanghai Old Street (20 minutes): The old quarters of Shanghai has some well-preserved old residential houses and narrow lanes. There are many shops and booths selling antiques, crafts and souvenirs.

Leisure Day.

Transport: Train No. G120 (Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station – Beijing Nan South Railway Station) / Departure 10:15 – Arrival 15:50 (2nd Class)

Today’s Activities: The Mutianyu Great Wall(with round way cable car), Temple of Heaven.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch allowance including CNY 60 per person.

The Mutianyu Great Wall(2 hours): This less-crowded section of the Great Wall is a about 2.5 hours’ drive from Beijing. A cable car takes you to a section where you can walk along the wall. You can return by cable car, walk down or walk along the wall for about an hour to descend by chairlift. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.

Today’s Activities: Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Hutong Tour in Dongcheng District, Donghuamen Night Market.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch allowance including CNY 60 per person.

The Forbidden City (2.5 hours): The Forbidden City was home to 24 emperors between 1368 and 1911.This “city within a city” is a World Heritage Site, and is the largest and the best preserved ancient imperial architecture complex in the world. The exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, are all important treasures of ancient China.

Tips: Alcohol or other drinks cannot be taken into the Forbidden City. Water and other drinks can be purchased in the Forbidden City.

Note: Starting from April 1st, 2013, the Imperial Palace will be closed every Monday afternoon throughout the year.

Tiananmen Square: Tian’anmen Square is the largest city square in the centre of Beijing, named after the Tiananmen (literally, Gate of Heavenly Peace) which sits to its north, separating it from the Forbidden City. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several key events in Chinese history. As the world’s largest city square and enduring symbol of China’s national pride, it is surrounded by many imposing buildings including the Heavenly Gate (entry to the Forbidden City), Museums, government buildings and Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum.

Donghuamen Night Market: Located west of Wangfujing Street, Donghuamen Night Market has dozens of stalls selling street food. It serves more common things like dumplings, noodles and fresh strawberry kabobs, but also some of the exotic snacks such as silk worm, scorpion, starfish, centipede and many other unusual delicacies. It’s safe to try the food.
